The fun-filled event will take place from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at The Rutledge (410 4th Avenue South) where the singer will be making some huge announcements fans won’t want to miss!

Tickets are $30 and are on sale now at a special Splash That event page created just for the party! Click here to purchase tickets. Tickets include a live show from Julie and lunch, followed by a meet and greet with Julie after the show.

“This year’s party is going to be so special and FUN!! There will be lots of music, food, prize give-aways,” Roberts said. “Come celebrate with me to hear the news first!”

To make the event interactive, the special Splash That page will gather fans tweets, photos and more from Twitter and Instagram. Fans can also post to the event page through the built-in Facebook wall. From now until the party starts, tweet or instagram your favorite pictures and memories from Julie’s previous Fan Appreciation Parties. During the event on June 8, use that same hashtag #JulieRobertsParty in your Twitter and Instagram posts and your photos and messages will be added to the live gallery where you’ll be able to look back and see all of the highlights from the party!

Julie will speak with TWC via Skype discussing the historic Nashville flood that trapped her and her family in their home just three years ago this week. Tune in to hear how Julie has overcome the obstacles created by the 2010 flood.

She auditioned with a rendition of Blake Shelton’s “God Gave Me You,” however, none of the four judges turned their chairs around for her, including Blake. “The show approached me last year and the previous season to go on as a contestant, but back then, I did not think that the timing was right. I spoke to the producers and they invited me to come to Los Angeles to a taping of the blind auditions. I thought it was the right time, so I went,” she said.

Although she did not make it through to the battle rounds on “The Voice,” Julie remains optimistic about her future. “Whenever one door closes, another one opens somewhere,” she said. “I tried my best and I had a good time. It was a great experience and I met a lot of great people there.”

Theresa’s daughter, Amber McDonald is a local TV personality who has been involved with the Nashville music industry for more than nine years.

“A year before the accident, I wrote a song about mom with the lyrics, ‘She’s no angel, but she’s as close as it gets on earth.’ That’s her in a nutshell,” said Amber. “Doctors tell us she has a long journey ahead because of the extent of her injuries, but I know that God has her in the palm of His hand. We are so grateful for those who have spent countless hours in prayer. Please keep them coming. They’re working.”

When Blake finally saw Julie, he was visibly upset and announced to his fellow judges, “I know her . . . and shesang my song,” before apologizing for not choosing her.

We caught up with the optimistic and bubbly Julie following the audition. In the years since her 2004 Top 20 success with “Break Down Here” and departing her record label in 2006, she has released an independent project in 2011, but sadly, she was also diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and lost her home and belongings in the 2010 flood that devastated Nashville.

“I was raised listening to Patsy Cline and Dolly Parton,” Roberts says with a clear sense of admiration. “And that’s what I love. The more traditional country just always spoke to me – telling stories about life. They were stories about my mom, about people I knew. I’ve just always been drawn to that.”

Roberts can relate to those old-time stories of heartbreak and struggle. Her life offers a tale of tragedy and triumph, pain and strength – a story of life imitating art, and one that would have given Tammy Wynette another chart-topping ballad.

As some of you may have seen tonight, I was one of the blind auditions featured on ‘The Voice’.  I haven’t been able to talk about my experience with The Voice until it aired and now that it has, I wanted you all to hear about it directly from me.

For the last two years, I have been invited to come audition to participate in the show, and this past year, I decided to take a chance and see what would happen if I did. So, I took the first step and went to Memphis, TN last summer to meet with the producers and sing for them. Then, they invited me to move to LA for about 6 weeks to participate in the blind auditions.

While in LA, I met so many wonderful people including other contestants, my amazing vocal coach -Romeo, and so many special folks that God brought into my life for that season.

Obviously, if you are reading this and watched the show, you know that a chair did not turn around for my blind audition.  This was heartbreaking for me on many levels but I believe with all my heart that God has other plans for my life that He is working on behind the scenes for me right now.

I’ve been back from LA several months now and I am writing and recording music! In fact, I will be releasing new music for you very soon! I’m also working on booking some shows and getting out there on the road to you as well.

I am more motivated than ever to reach my musical and career goals! My plan is to always create and play music for all of you that I love so much!!!!
