Happy Thanksgiving Y’all!!
It’s so hard to know where to even begin with this year’s letter of thanks. 2012 has brought many blessings to both my family and me.
I am most thankful to have been able to celebrate Thanksgiving with my entire family last weekend. Family is the most important thing in my life and to have everyone in one place is so special and something you cannot buy in a store. It’s priceless!!
I am also thankful for my health. This has been a great year for me. I have felt great all year! I have only been in a walking boot one time! I ran a 1/2 marathon trail race this year, started Crossfit classes, and I enjoy walking my dogs every single day.
I am very thankful that I have been back on the road some playing shows this year. I am still wishing to play 3 times as many shows next year, but I am thankful for the opportunities God Blessed me with this year! Playing live music is what I am supposed to be doing every single day of my life and I am determined to get to all of your cities and play a show for you!!!
I am so very thankful for all of you in my life. I consider you my family and I cherish every message I receive from you on a daily basis. You all have been my biggest supporters since “Break Down Here” was released in 2004 and I love each of you with all of my heart! I am working really hard to get you new music and again to get to see each of you in all of your towns and play a show for you!! Thank you for your patience as I continue to figure out how to get both of these things going!! It’s going to happen!!! (I do have a new Christmas song that you can get with the Christmas packages this year!! It’s one of my favorite recordings I’ve ever done!!!)
I have met some amazing people this year. One that I am most thankful to have met is a mentor of mine, Jeannie Unruh. Jeannie has MS like me and has figured out how to live her life and do everything she wants to do despite her diagnosis. That’s my desire and having met someone so strong has been a huge gift that I am so thankful for this year!!
I have met many more amazing folks this year (too many to mention here)!! I am thankful for each of you!!
I pray that God brings you all a Happy Thanksgiving!! I hope that you all feel as blessed as I do as I type this letter. I hope you eat lots of turkey, dressing, and my favorite…sweet potato casserole!!! Thank you for being such a huge part of my life this year and for all of the happiness you bring to me. I love you all!
God Bless You & Happy Thanksgiving!
